Exhibit and Display Policy

The Mount Horeb Public Library creates exhibits and displays of interest, information, and enlightenment to the community. The primary purpose of exhibits in the library is to extend the library's role as a cultural, educational, and community-centered institution.

The Mount Horeb Public Library does not host exhibits for political, religious, or for-profit groups in the library. The library does not host exhibits or displays for political causes in the library unless both sides can be accurately represented. The library does not have staff time or resources to devote to both sides of the issue.

All exhibits are to be approved by appropriate Library staff prior to setup.

Exhibits will be displayed for up to two weeks.

Individuals and representatives of organizations are responsible for planning, transporting,installing, and removing their exhibits, following guidelines provided by library staff.

Contact information may be posted along with any displayed materials, but any information involving the sale, advertisement, solicitation or promotion of commercial products is not allowed.

The library is not responsible for any items that are lost, damaged, or stolen while on display.

The presentation of any display or exhibit does not imply endorsement by the Mount Horeb Public Library.
