Everyone is welcome to join us Friday, August 1st at 7:00 pm for our special guest speaker Meagan Hatfield's discussion on "The Dos and Don'ts of Publishing."

Meagan's Bio:

Meagan Hatfield is the author of a variety of novels, novella’s and short stories spanning multiple genres of romance – fantasy, historical, paranormal, contemporary and erotic.

Born and raised in Southern California, Meagan’s world revolved around movies and books. She read voraciously and always had a passion for the written word. She even penned a young adult novel while still in high school. Although Meagan dreamed of one day penning that Academy Award winning screenplay, she left California for Colorado State University where she met her husband. It took a few years in San Diego, a trip to the Little White Chapel in Las Vegas, two kids, a few random jobs and a move to Wisconsin before the constant ideas and characters running through her head drove her to finally sit down and start writing their story. That book, a fantasy romance entitled, A MAGICAL ENCOUNTER was released early this year.

Currently, Meagan lives near Madison, Wisconsin with her husband, two children, an animated black lab and her beloved Himalayan cat. In addition to finishing up her second and final term as Vice President for the Wisconsin Romance Writer’s of America Chapter, Meagan is also a member of Hearts through History, FF&P, Erotic Authors Association, Passionate Ink, EPIC and GothRom.
