What is Storytime?
Storytime is a gathering of preschool children for the purpose of educating and entertaining them.
Registration is NOT required. Come prepared for fun!
Stories, crafts, singing, and more...

Storytime Goals

  • To create in children an appetite for reading and for using the library
  • To encourage children to respect other children and the storyteller, as well as library materials
  • To teach library manners
  • To stimulate children's imaginations
  • To help children develop language, listening, and motor skills

Storytime Behavior

  • Avoid bringing toys, drinks, or snacks to storytime.
  • Be on time for the program, as late arrivals can distract the children.
  • Join in the storytime experience by singing and participating in activities.
  • And most importantly, check out books and share them with your child at home.
