Save your Slides, Photographs and Documents!
Do you have older family slides, photographs or papers you would like to save and share? Digitize them! Use high tech scanners, on loan from the South Central Library System, to preserve your family history! Call 608-437-5021, or stop in, to reserve a time slot. Staff cannot scan the items for you, but will gladly get you started. You will need your own USB flash drive to save the photos and documents.
You can use:
- A photo scanner that scans both sides of the photo/document (up to about 8 inches wide) Fujitsu ScanSnap iX500 Dujplex Document Scanner
- A hand held scanner for fragile documents (the scans about 8 inches wide at a time, but can be used to take multiple images of a document so you can capture the entire thing in pieces.) VuPoint Magic Wand (handheld scanner)
- A scanner to convert slides into jpg images. Wolverine SNaP-14MP Film Scanner
