Bookmark Design Contest
July 1-25
Can you picture your art on one of the library's bookmarks? Pick up an entry form at the library and return your completed design by July 25, 2026 for a chance to be featured.
Contest rules:
- Designers must be between ages of 6-18.
- Designs must be original and must fit the theme “Unearth a Story” or celebrate learning, reading, and libraries.
- One entry per person.
- Designs may be either horizontal or vertical. Use the bookmark space provided and turn in the whole form intact.
- Any 2D art medium may be used (crayons, markers, colored pencils, etc.). Please no computer generated images or 3D materials (glitter, glued items, etc.).
- Do not write your name, address, or any other identifying marks on the bookmark itself.
- Do not use copyrighted characters, logos, clip art, etc.
- Bookmarks will be judged on originality, design, and printability.
- Please keep important design details away from the edge of the box.
- Submit the original entry form available at the library or an exact photocopy of the same size.
All entries become the property of Mount Horeb Public Library and may be reproduced for public distribution, displayed in the library, and posted to the library's social media channels and website. The Mount Horeb Public Library may use each winner's name, design, and photo for publicity purposes.

Teens are invited to carve their own stamp design to take home. Open to ages 11-16. (Activity will include use of sharp carving tools.)
Wednesday, July 8, 1 pm
We're excited to welcome KUJ Magic to the library for this all-ages interactive magic show filled with mind-bending tricks!
(Program update: Matthew Teague's performance has been cancelled with the hope to reschedule in future.)
