Tuesday, August 19, 1-2:15 pm

Reading to a dog is a wonderful way to build reading skills and confidence. Readers ages 5-12 can sign up for a 15-minute slot to sit down and read aloud with Murphy, a registered therapy dog. Bring a favorite book or try a new one from our collection. 

Open to ages 5-12 and their caregivers. Registration is required. Please sign up for your time slot here.

Friday, September 5 from 1-3 pm

Kicking off the school year we will be having a Homeschool Open House in the meeting room of the library. Here is what to expect: 

• First chance to check out our new items
• Free giveaway resources (books, games, curriculums, etc.)
• A chance to meet other homeschool families
• Refreshments

Monday, September 8, 1-2 pm

We are excited to have special guest Sue Hulsether, Dance Caller for our first Early Release Day program of the school year. Sue will be leading us through a variety of group dances suitable for all ages. Since 2003, Sue Hulsether has traveled from coast to coast to lead dances in dance halls, schools, barns, and community centers. She dances with groups of all types, all ages, and all abilities. Individuals and families are invited to participate; everyone is welcome! 

Tuesday, September 16, 3:45-5 pm

Ms. Amy will guide participants through building a miniature underwater scene for display as part of the library's Big/Middle/Little Read Ocean Diorama Show. Ages 4-16 welcome. Please bring a box to use for your diorama.
