A writing group for grades 1-3.
Each month participants will get a writing prompt and there will be a sharing time for their stories. We will explore different genres, mystery, sci-fi, adventure.
Library Linda or Miss Amy will do readings of chapters from Newbury award winning books.

Positive Parenting Workshop
Thursday, February 11, 6:45pm
A program that teaches parents and caregivers practical disciplinary skills. Additionally, it provides parents with the strategies, guidance and support to effectively cope with the many questions and concerns arising from parenting. Presenters: Heather Douglas and Jennifer Ebbotts from Open Door LLC

Genealogy Photo/Document Scanners
Available for In-Library Use!

From February 16-20 the scanners are available on a first come/first served basis, with a time limit of one hour. There will be a sign in sheet so you may save your place in line if people are waiting.
From February 22-25, you may reserve a time slot in advance. Please call 437-5021 to schedule your time.
Do you have older family photographs or papers you wish were digitized? Bring them to the library February 16-20 and use high tech scanners, on loan from the South Central Library System, to preserve your family history!

Free Career Assistance at the Library
1st and 3rd Fridays, 9:30am-12pm
The Mount Horeb Public Library is excited to partner with the Department of Workforce Development to offer one-on-one assistance with job searching, resume writing, interview skills and more! Beginning February 5th, Jennifer Seese, DWD, will be at the library the first and third Fridays of the month from 9:30am - 12pm.
Community members are invited to stop in the library during these times to receive help with their specific career development needs. The meeting times are first come, first served, or by appointment by calling the library's help desk at 437-5021. Anyone looking for help with their career is encouraged to take part.
