Summer Reading Challenge:
Readers ages 0-12 can pick up a game sheet and complete activities designed for each age level to earn Huebucks to use at the SLP prize store.
Library staff will sign off on activities between June 16 - August 7.
(Please come to the library to pick up your game sheet starting June 9. There is no registration form this year; please register for individual programs you would like to attend.)
Teen Summer Sweepstakes:
Ages 13-18? Check something out or come to a library program and get a scratch-off ticket!
Some tickets are instant winners, others can be used as entries for the grand prize drawing.

Reach Out & Read:
"Reach Out & Read" is an alternate Summer Reading Challenge to make an impact with your reading. For each hour you read, you will earn $0.50 to be donated to a local non-profit. Open to ages 6-18.
At the end of the summer, library staff will count all the hours read and the total amount up to $500 will be donated to Mount Horeb Neighbors Helping Neighbors. You may participate in both the reading challenge with prizes and Reach Out & Read, but an hour of reading does not count for both programs. You must track your time separately. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library. (Please come to the library starting June 9 to pick up your reading tracker.)

Reading to a dog is a wonderful way to build reading skills and confidence. Readers ages 5-12 can sign up for a 15-minute slot to sit down and read aloud with Ruby, a registered therapy dog. Bring a favorite book or try a new one from our collection.
Open to ages 5-12 and their caregivers. Registration is required. Please sign up for your time slot here (registration opens June 9).

Step out of your reality and into the fantasy at the Enchanted Library. Join us after hours for an immersive fantasy experience designed to delight dreamers and adventurers alike.
- Dance Floor - Waltz, sway, or boogie the night away
- Photo Ops - Capture magical memories with enchanting backdrops and whimsical props
- Crafting Corner - Create your own fantastical crafts
- Fantasy Displays - Explore collections of fantasy titles to discover your next fandom
- Spot the hidden fairy doors throughout the library and uncover their secrets in a whimsical scavenger hunt.
Dress Code: Come as you are or embrace the enchantment! Cosplay is welcome and costumed attendees may receive a fun extra treat! Don’t miss your chance to step into the story and let the magic of the Enchanted Library whisk you away!

Tuesday, July 22, 3-4 pm
Create the weirdest, ugliest, most bizarre piece of art you can imagine with the supplies provided. How will you know you're doing it? You'll find the sweet spot of tackiness, glitter and total uselessness. This is a no-pressure creative environment, so come and try it out! You literally cannot fail.
Open to ages 12-16.
