Come to the Table: Next Steps

This evening will be the start of working on the action steps/strategies that were discussed during our Come to the Table program.
We are finishing up the final report, which I'll share on our Disagree Better page soon. This will highlight the overarching thoughts, strategies and concerns voiced during the group conversations. The top strategies will be the launching point for topics in our Next Steps meeting. I will also be sharing this report with our local newspaper, and online so more members of our community can be part of the conversation. Everyone is welcome at the Next Steps program, even if you didn't attend the dinner.
What will happen at this meeting? This is where I hand the reins over to YOU. My hope is that you form a planning committee, or team that will lead the efforts. There are so many opportunities to help - whether that's taking on a specific task, coordinating activities, connecting with organizations and people, or serving on a committee. Even a small contribution can make a big difference. I'll start leading the meeting, but will hand it off to some of you by the end of the night because this work needs to come from within the community. I know you all care deeply about this topic and I truly look forward to seeing what you make happen.
