Guest speaker: Amber Wichowsky, Associate Professor of Public Affairs and Leadership Wisconsin Endowed Chair for the Division of Extension, University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Across the country, Americans are coming together to talk across political differences in efforts that are building trust and reducing political polarization. Join fellow community members to learn more about constructive dialogue and the benefits of talking together. The public talk will cover the latest research on civil discourse initiatives, including here in Wisconsin, as well as best practices and methods of public engagement. Following the public talk, participants will have the opportunity to brainstorm and discuss ways to apply these insights in our own community.
Part of our new Disagree Better: Building Connection Across Difference series. We are excited to be partnering with Village Administration, The Mt. Horeb Area School District and organizations in town to bring a series designed to support constructive engagement, understanding, and trust across diverse viewpoints. More information and programs coming soon!
